The natural beauty of Northeast Tennessee creates an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities. Hiking, camping, hunting, boating, skiing, golfing and many other sports can all be enjoyed in an uncrowded atmosphere.
Much of Northeast Tennessee lies within national forest boundaries, providing excellent hunting, fishing and hiking opportunities. The Roan Mountain State Park encompasses the world's largest rhododendron gardens-over 600 acres of pure beauty atop Roan Mountain. Rural Health Services Consortium, Inc. operates twelve primary healthcare medical centers and one behavioral health center in Northeast Tennessee. These medical centers are presently located in Baileyton, Bluff City, Bulls Gap, Dry Creek, Hawkins, Kingsport, Limestone, Mountain City, Roan Mountain and Sneedville.
